AECOM is seeking a part-time Mechanical Engineer Intern to compile and analyze operational data for the Measurement and Verification of Energy Conservation Projects.
This position will support our growing Energy Business Line. For this role, AECOM offers the freedom and flexibility to work remotely and/or be located at a variety of Energy offices in multiple locations across the United States through our Freedom to Grow program. AECOM’s Energy practice provides a wide range of services from consulting and engineering design to engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) for power, energy efficiency, and renewable energy clients. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Provides basic support in the areas of project controls, scheduling, scheduling analysis, earned value management, and construction inspection activities in support of projects.
Activities may include assisting with engineering calculations, setting up and operating equipment, inspecting equipment and engineering installations for compliance with specifications and maintaining project documentation.
General understanding of procedures, company policies to achieve set results and deadlines.
Performs routine tasks while working under close supervision.
Intern position, previous experience may not be required.
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’ degree in Mechanical Engineering or related
Proficient/advanced in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Experience compiling and analyze operational data for measurement and verification
Hands-on mechanical equipment experiences preferred
Familiarity or interest in energy conservation projects
Excellent Excel skills preferred
Detail oriented and organized
