Job Description

AECOM’s Technology Solutions Group (TSG) is seeking an exceptional Information & Communication Technologies (ICT) Consultant to join our Global ICT Team. Contingent upon project award, this will be a full time AECOM ICT staff position physically located on-site at an AECOM Client facility located in San Diego, California.

The candidate selected will:

  • Be responsible for assisting the Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Project Manager (PM) in coordinating advanced field investigations, contributing to constructability/VE reviews, and field investigation.

  • During construction phase this position will be directed by SME and/or PM and will oversee field work and provide liaison between the contractor and other entities

  • Attend meetings to interface with construction teams and design teams

  • Provide Quality Assurance on contractor installations

  • Participate in commissioning activities

  • Generation of daily reports

  • Reviewing submittals and design documents

  • Overseeing the following systems and other systems as directed:

  • ICT Low Voltage communication cabling (copper and fiber)

  • Voice paging systems

  • Public Safety and Wireless DAS – Distributed Antennae Systems

  • Wireless Network Systems

  • Building Automation Systems

  • Dynamic Signage Systems

  • Access Control Systems

  • Video Surveillance Systems

  • Perimeter Intrusion Detection Systems

  • Parking Guidance and Parking Revenue Control Systems

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university plus six (6) years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

  • US Citizenship is Required for this position

  • Minimum 5 years design experience with ICT infrastructure

  • Must have a valid Class C driver’s license and the ability to maintain eligibility under the Client’s Authorized Drivers Program.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • BICSI Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) Certification, Current or in Process is highly preferred

  • Security clearance is preferred but not required (potential/desire to obtain a security clearance is required)

  • Have expertise in ICT design and consulting for:

  • Structured Cabling Systems (SCS), Campus / Wide Area Networks (WAN), Passive Optical Networks (PON), Outside Plant (OSP)

  • Be familiar with and/or proficient in various software products, including but not limited to:

  • Microsoft 365 Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), Revit, AutoCAD, Visio Professional, Bluebeam Extreme (Revu), Microsoft Project, Experience with PMWEB software is desirable, and other ICT Specific Programs

  • Be familiar with and/or proficient in various Codes Standards and regulations including but not limited to:

  • State & Local Ordinances, IEEE – C2 Standard (National Electrical Safety Code), OSHA - 1910 Standards, TIA – Cabling Standards, BICSI – TDMM and other Manuals
