Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking is a Managing Principal for the Buildings+Places practice in our San Francisco, CA office. The duties will include:

  • Responsible for driving the growth, strategy and sale of AECOM’s services for Buildings + Places in the San Francisco Office.

  • Works in conjunction with the region business line leader, and geography market sector and account management leaders to grow profitable business to ensure financial success of the region by developing and implementing strategic growth plans.

  • Provides industry leadership across all market sectors in a Buildings + Places, and leads the sales planning process for the business line across the region.

  • May also represent the company in municipal, provincial, state, and federal group forums.

  • Provides guidance and coaching to business development, market sector, account management and other San Francisco sales support staff.

  • Is a member of the region management team, focused on optimizing the overall performance of the region.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Building and Design Architecture or related field and extensive experience with 6 years in a Buildings and Design practice leadership role or demonstrated equivalency of experience/education

  • 12+ years of experience with 4 years in a leadership role

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Buildings and Design Architecture or related field

  • Member of Buildings and Design Professional or Technical Society

  • Proven record of developing new Buildings and Design clients in the San Francisco, CA area

  • Ability to discern new Buildings and Design markets and develop business in those areas

  • Expertise in the practical application of AEIPC principles and technology

  • Core competencies in professional staff development and retention are critical

  • Ability to perform individually in a competitive environment

  • Superior ability to satisfy clients and manage company’s association with them
