AECOM Civil Engineer- Earthworks in Santiago de Queretaro, Mexico

Mexico - Querétaro, Santiago de Queretaro

Job Summary

AECOM Mexico is in search of a Civil Engineer- Terraces who will work on a design and construction of a major tech project in Queretaro, with a focus on the civil aspects of the design.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Perform assignments requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to carry out engineering tasks. Assignments are designed to further develop judgment and understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities.

  • Exercise judgment limited to developing details of work in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives

  • Prepare engineering related calculations and develop drawings and visual aids

  • Prepare design drawings, plans, sections, details, and profiles/sections within Autodesk Civil 3D and Bentley InRoads

  • Work under supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member

  • Oversee and direct data collection and analysis activities

  • Undertake preliminary and detailed design activities

  • Responsible for the preparation of technical memoranda, preliminary and detailed design reports

  • Equipment selection and liaison with equipment suppliers and vendors

  • Preparation of technical specifications, special provisions and forms of tender

  • Review of quantity and cost estimates for completeness and accuracy

  • Contract administration services during project construction

  • Work as part of a team to complete assignments

  • Prepare technical reports and analysis to support project assignments

  • Actively engage in professional development and industry events

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering plus four(4) years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fluent in English and Spanish

  • Licensed Civil Engineer
