AECOM MEP+F & Special Systems Design Coordinator in Santiago de Queretaro, Mexico

Job Summary

AECOM Mexico is in need of Resident Electrical Engineers to support a design and construction of a major tech project in Queretaro.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:

  • Responsible for MEP+F and special systems design, analyses, calculations, and evaluations

  • Coordinates work from subconsultants, revises quality and adherence to SOW.

  • Leeds internal meetings and meetings with clients to present progress, challenges, and discuss technical issues encountered.

  • Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.

  • Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.

  • Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments.

  • Identifies discrepancies in results.

  • Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision.

  • Independently performs all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for MEP+F engineering works.

  • Performance at this level requires developmental experience in a professional position."

  • Keeps informed of new developments and requirements affecting the organization for the purpose of recommending changes in programs and applications.

  • Interprets, organizes, executes, and coordinates assignments.

  • Makes decisions independently on technical problems and methods and represents the organization in conferences to resolve important questions and to plan and coordinate work.

Minimum Requirements

  • University degree in Civil/Structural/Geotechnical Engineering

  • Minimum 4 years resident site engineer experience in design and/or site supervision of building foundation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Mechanical or Electromechanical engineering

  • Fluent in English and Spanish

  • 8 years’ experience in design and/or site supervision of building MEP+F installations

  • Knowledge of Building Codes

  • Proficiency in MS Office suite

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Revit design platforms. Use of cloud systems to collaborate and storage.
