Job Description:

Successful candidates will be natural self-starters with design change and project management experience working with each phase of the project life cycle including requirements, planning, execution, and hand off.

They will work with business leaders to execute on short- and long-term strategies and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to build processes and tools allowing this real estate network to scale with speed and quality.

The role will include occasional travel up to 20%


  • Manage the change management system, process, and documentation for Design Change Requests (DCRs), and Design Cycle to successfully complete complex design change management goals across multiple building design programs.

  • Build relationships with leaders from multiple stakeholders to strengthen employee engagement and participation in changes

  • Work with peers to maintain cross programmatic Design Cycle Calendar.

  • Partner with cross functional teams to set project priorities and milestones and drive delivery.

  • Experience in identifying and resolving complex issues – solid sense of accountability, high-quality judgment and sound decision making.

  • Support workshops that drive alignment on key issues for new building designs and initiatives to drive the Associate experience, safety, sustainability, operational efficiency, and reduction of first and lifecycle costs

  • Own design change management life cycle and clearly communicate procedural updates to the cross-functional teams.

  • Coordination with internal stakeholders (Operations, Construction, Operations Engineering, etc.).

  • Lead improvement projects/Kaizen events to bring together cross-functional teams to identify opportunities and achieve target performance improvement in a compressed timeframe.

  • Drive continuous improvement programs that optimize efficiency, drive automation efforts, and develop best practices.

  • Facilitate/run weekly alignment meetings on projects

  • Serves as the professional specialist for the organization in the application of advanced theories, concepts, principles and processes for an assigned area of responsibility. Is consulted extensively by associates and others with a high degree of reliance on their professional interpretations and technical knowledge.

  • Is a recognized leader and authority in a broad area of specialization or in a narrow, but highly specialized field

  • Is responsible for the architectural program when the program is of limited complexity and scope, or plans and coordinates detailed phases of a major program

  • Provides support and leadership to others in achieving the technical objectives of the overall work effort.

  • Regularly called upon as a key expert in business development pursuits.

  • Consults clients and makes recommendations to overall senior project leadership as a key liaison across teams. are met

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, Architecture, Planning, Industrial Engineering + 8 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

  • Experience in design change or project management, and implementation with proven ability to design workable solutions and drive projects to successful implementation.

  • Experience delivering cross functional projects.

  • Proficient in core project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management.

  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel and in the general Microsoft Office product suite.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong analytical skills including financial modeling.

  • Effective communication skills including proven ability to effectively manage, influence, negotiate, and communicate with external business partners and internal teams.

  • Experience leading projects and interacting with cross-functional teams

  • Experience developing and implementing process to streamline operations, and driving automation and standardization.

  • Experience defining program requirements and using data to determine improvements.

  • Relentlessly high standards and attention to detail.

  • Strong ability to work in an ambiguous environment, identify and solve novel problems, and manage change.

  • Excellent English language written and verbal communication skills, presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated ability to understand the audience and customer.
