Job Description
AECOM is seeking an Entry Level Water Resources Planning Engineer to be based in Seattle, WA.
This position is expected to begin in June 2023.
Preparation, planning, and analysis/review of hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and climate resiliency technical studies
Water supply resiliency planning studies and projects
Watershed and Flood Prevention Operations Investigation Studies and Reports
Safe yield analyses and water withdrawal permitting support
EIS and NEPA documents, and similar reports/document
Stakeholder engagement and public involvement for water resources engineering projects
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Preferred Qualifications:
1+ years of relevant water resources related experience
Passed Fundamentals of Engineering exam
Proven experience in hydrologic and hydraulic and climate resiliency analysis
Experience and familiarity with design and modeling software (e.g. ArcGIS, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS 1D/2D, HEC-ResSim, Riverware)
Excellent report writing and ability to clearly present complex technical information visually and orally to a wide audience
Ability to coordinate, liaise, and engage with clients and key stakeholders
Ability to work collaboratively and iteratively within a multi-disciplinary team.
Strong conceptual, organizational, problem solving and research skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
