Job Description

AECOM is seeking an Entry Level Water Resources Planning Engineer to be based in Seattle, WA.

This position is expected to begin in June 2023.

  • Preparation, planning, and analysis/review of hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and climate resiliency technical studies

  • Water supply resiliency planning studies and projects

  • Watershed and Flood Prevention Operations Investigation Studies and Reports

  • Safe yield analyses and water withdrawal permitting support

  • EIS and NEPA documents, and similar reports/document

  • Stakeholder engagement and public involvement for water resources engineering projects

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of relevant water resources related experience

  • Passed Fundamentals of Engineering exam

  • Proven experience in hydrologic and hydraulic and climate resiliency analysis

  • Experience and familiarity with design and modeling software (e.g. ArcGIS, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS 1D/2D, HEC-ResSim, Riverware)

  • Excellent report writing and ability to clearly present complex technical information visually and orally to a wide audience

  • Ability to coordinate, liaise, and engage with clients and key stakeholders

  • Ability to work collaboratively and iteratively within a multi-disciplinary team.

  • Strong conceptual, organizational, problem solving and research skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
