The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:

  • Client account leadership, including development of client plans and the identification, positioning, pursuit and securing of new business.

  • Responsible for customer satisfaction on AECOM’s performance. Regularly meets with customers to ensure that we are providing quality installations and meeting their individual needs. Conducts follow-up reviews of solutions to verify that desired objectives were accomplished effectively and efficiently.

  • Team and project discipline leadership / management.

  • Capture management.

  • Team member development.

  • Participation in development of proposal response.

  • Working knowledge of local and international codes, NEC and LEED standards

  • Development of system narratives (writing, organizing the document, develop concepts).

  • Ability to concisely express complex system solutions in very early design phases in order to share intent either internally for further development, or externally to assist design partners.

  • Coordinate electrical system design with electrical engineers, architects, and other design professionals.

  • Review / Edit specifications.

  • Review team member work for quality and recognition of training requirements.

  • Interact and work with diverse set of clients and subcontractors.

  • Ownership of team metrics (utilization, finances, performance reviews)

  • Experience in the following markets is desired:

  • Science and Technology

  • Corporate and Commercial

  • Healthcare (OSHPD)

  • Mixed Use

  • Data Center/Mission Critical

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and 12 years of electrical engineering experience within a consulting or design-build firm or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 4 years of leadership

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer Licensed

  • Excellent project planning, project management, organizational and time management skills

  • Extensive understanding of engineering fundamentals including load calculations, conceptual systems analysis through construction documentation design, design and layout of equipment.

  • Documented experience with advanced design, and technically challenging design with high profile technology firms working to fast paced schedules

  • Expertise in corporate, healthcare and mission critical market sectors.

  • Experience with Design Build and other Alternative Delivery practice
