AECOM Entry Level Construction Engineer in Stevens Point, Wisconsin

Job Summary

AECOM is seeking an Entry Level Construction Engineer to be based in Stevens Point, WI.

This position is expected to start in May 2022 or sooner.

About the position:

The work will consist of construction inspection and administration of WisDOT and municipal projects. Successful candidate will be based out of the Stevens Point office and will work on a wide variety of projects in the North Central region of Wisconsin. They will need to work both independently and with other team members to complete quality WisDOT construction projects on time and within budgets. The successful candidate must be prepared to work in the vigorous environment of Transportation Construction. Excellent documentation and communications skills are a must for this position as the successful candidate will also be responsible for communicating directly with contractors, engineers, and clients. They will also be responsible to coordinate construction schedules to ensure items of work are constructed according to contract documents.

Among other responsibilities:

  • Monitors and documents conformance with quality, performance, safety and code requirements.

  • Activities may include assisting with engineering calculations, setting up and operating equipment, inspecting equipment and engineering installations for compliance with specifications and maintaining project documentation.

  • General understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction or related field with an emphasis transportation engineering; or demonstrated equivalency of education and/or experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • GPS and Survey equipment knowledge.

  • Familiarity with Civil 3D and AutoCAD.

  • Familiarity with municipal, county, and non-WisDOT construction projects.

  • Familiarity with WisDOT Standard Specifications and material certification requirements.

  • WisDOT material certifications including GRADINGTEC, AGGTEC, PCCTEC, Nuclear Density.
