Shimmick Construction, an AECOM Co. is seeking a detailed, organized, and responsible professional with previous office administration experience, focusing on supporting the Estimating Department.
Skill Set Requirements:
Active team player with a positive attitude
Excellent communication skills paired with solid written skills
High level of computer proficiency including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and other programs to accomplish work
Excellent time management, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Ability to make independent decisions and judgments regarding work priorities
Capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment
Quick and competent learner
Handle incoming calls and other communications
Maintain office supplies and order lunches
Maintain office equipment as needed
Maintain break room, front office, and bid room areas
Handle incoming and outgoing mail
Create, maintain, and enter information into databases
Assist with preparation and production of bid documents, technical proposals, and presentations
Make Good Faith calls to potential subcontractors and vendors
Assist in running bids and/or manning phones and printer on bid day
Assist office executives with schedules, travel, and miscellaneous projects when needed
Education and Experience:
High School diploma + 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Advanced MS Office suite
- Construction industry experience
