AECOM ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT in Suisun City, California

Job Summary

Shimmick Construction, an AECOM Co. is seeking a detailed, organized, and responsible professional with previous office administration experience, focusing on supporting the Estimating Department.

Skill Set Requirements:

 Active team player with a positive attitude

 Excellent communication skills paired with solid written skills

 High level of computer proficiency including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and other programs to accomplish work

 Excellent time management, problem-solving, and organizational skills

 Ability to make independent decisions and judgments regarding work priorities

 Capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment

 Quick and competent learner

 Highly motivated

Office Assistance:

  • Handle incoming calls and other communications

  • Maintain office supplies and order lunches

  • Maintain office equipment as needed

  • Maintain break room, front office, and bid room areas

  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail

Estimating Support:

  • Create, maintain, and enter information into databases

  • Assist with preparation and production of bid documents, technical proposals, and presentations

  • Make Good Faith calls to potential subcontractors and vendors

  • Assist in running bids and/or manning phones and printer on bid day

  • Assist office executives with schedules, travel, and miscellaneous projects when needed

Minimum Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma + 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

  • Advanced MS Office suite

Preferred Qualifications

  • Construction industry experience

Additional Information:
