Job Description
AECOM is seeking an Inspector to be based in Tucson, AZ.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to
Collect information from various sources to fully understand and enforce contract documents such as standard specifications, plans, and special provisions
Perform and check the accuracy of complex computations including those performed by other staff
Analyze the contractor schedule to plan out the inspection of projects in their entirety
Conduct pre-activity meetings for various construction activities such as asphaltic concrete, PCCP, striping and major structures, box culverts, bridges, traffic control, storm drains, implementation of SWPPP, and other minor incidentals
Expert understanding of equipment and technology used to gather samples and information from the field
General understanding of the project delivery process and the interaction between the disciplines within a group
Knowledge of supplemental agreements such as change orders and letter of agreements
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma + 2 Years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Due to the nature of this work, U.S. citizenship is required
Must possess a valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications
2 Years of ADOT Experience
ATTI, ACI certifications
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must have good computer skills and knowledge
Proficient with Microsoft Office tools
Proficiency in the use of ADOT software Pen, Quantlist CPE
Possession of an Arizona driver's license
ATSSA TCT Certification
SWPPP
