AECOM College & University Campus Planning Leader in Washington, District Of Columbia
Job Summary
AECOM is hiring a Campus Planning Leader for North America to lead our College & University planning practice, to collaborate with our innovative Strategy+ team, and to collaborate within our Urbanism and Planning Practice.
This role can be located in any of the listed offices.
Responsibilities include:
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and resource for areas of higher education campus planning in the United States and abroad
Provide thought leadership externally and internally that advances innovations in campus organization, form, experience, amenities, and infrastructure
Focus on campus master planning opportunities, and grow our client base, and annual revenue focused on campus planning opportunities
Work closely with National & Regional Education leadership teams to develop and grow the higher education practice, including strategically collaborating on pursuits
Develop new client relationships and identify project opportunities.
Work closely with all B+P Practices (Interiors, Building Engineering, Urbanism + Planning, Strategy+) to lead and deliver design and consulting projects
Actively mentor and develop skills of staff in areas of expertise
Work with National and Regional leadership teams to grow and develop a comprehensive team focused on campus planning, over the next five years.
Position will report to the National Education Practice leader

Minimum Requirements
Bachelor of Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Urban Design or Urban Planning and 10+ years of related experience in the planning and design of Higher Education Campus Master Planning projects or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. 2 years of leadership experience is also required
Experience leading higher education clients through multi phased campus master plans, focused on creating place and imagining the campus of the future.
Preferred Qualifications
American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP), Registered Architect, Landscape Architect
Master of Urban Design or Urban Planning, Architecture, Landscape Architecture
