AECOM Project Engineer in Waterloo, Iowa
AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented, and motivated Project Engineer for immediate employment for the Waterloo, Iowa office. Responsibilities will include roadway design development and infrastructure design based on client standards, team mentoring and development as well as some client interaction with project team leaders. Projects may include roadways/highways, bridges, utilities, and misc. facilities related to transportation or infrastructure projects for a range of prospective clients, including Iowa DOT, and other counties and municipalities as well as Projects that may include alternative delivery methodologies.

Senior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for team
Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise
Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost-effective work by others
Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables
Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects
Uses expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package
Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings
Prepares technical specification sections
Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements
- BA/BS + 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management
Professional Engineer license in Iowa
10 + years’ experience in roadway and infrastructure design project performance and deliveries
Familiarity with Iowa DOT, and local agency specifications, policies and procedures
Computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Project Management software applications
Ability to proactively communicate with project teams leadership and department staff
Alternative delivery experience a plus!
