AECOM is seeking an Engineer to join our team in West Bethesda, MD (NSWC Carderock Division).
The qualified individual will have demonstrated professional capability and experience in, and be required to perform in as many of the following areas as possible: assurances in MSF data collection and sensor systems and facility upgrades in support of Magnetic Silencing Facility (MSF) operations.
The individual must be able to work in a fast paced environment under compressed schedules.
The individual will serve as a customer liaison to SEA 05 personnel and Active Duty Navy representing AECOM on a daily basis.
The candidate will be creative in developing innovative practical solutions to problems, immediate logistics scheduling resolutions to complex tasking, and comprehensive solutions for sensor data collection systems with respect to MSF port operation.
Must be able to resolve numerous customer related problems using current state of the art IT hardware and software programs, and provide navy standard techniques related to Magnetic Silencing Facility (MSF) operations.
The individual must be able to effectively communicate requirements and goals for facility upgrades between SEA 05 technical engineering personnel and US Navy Military liaisons.
The acceptable candidate must be able to work at remote sites and on their own for long periods of time without supervision.
This individual will be required to perform scanning and remediation of MSF master images and distribute to MSF Facilities, support MSF software developers to test code on the MSF mockup systems, support deployment of developed software to MSF sites around the world, and complete training to become a member of the Cyber Security Workforce (CSWF) and complete annual CSWF refresher training of 40 hours.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or non-engineering IT data analysis field, or equivalent military training and qualification with experience in MSF system operations.
Five (5) years of experience with NAVSEA and/or Navy programs
Microsoft Office Suite of Software Programs including: Word, Excel, Power Point and Microsoft Project.
Working knowledge and experience with design, development, fabrication, testing, and inspection/certification of underwater systems.
Position requires an active Secret level clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.
- Prefer US Navy experience with background in electromagnetic (EM) testing naval combatants and MSF facility operations.
