AECOM has an exciting new opportunity for a forward thinking, pro-active Human Resource/Labor Relations Advisor to support our U.S. Energy Operations and Maintenance team. This employee can be located anywhere in the Midwestern Region of the United States.
The ideal candidate must be able to perform the following duties which are broad in nature, usually requiring originality and ingenuity:
With minimal supervision, performs professional level support activities in most functional areas of human resources.
Possesses and applies a broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures to the completion of difficult assignments.
Assists in the development and implementation of human resources policies and procedures.
Management in labor relations, including the negotiation, interpretation, and administration of collective bargaining agreements.
Works with managers to facilitate the grievance procedure.
Counseling employees concerning work related issues.
Appropriate action to address and resolve employee and labor relations issues.
Leading and/or participating in investigations in support of the compliance team.
Responding to escalation of employee benefits and payroll issues that are not resolved through interaction with appropriate COE.
Support talent acquisition and managers to ensure timely acquisition or redeployment of talent.
Facilitation and roll-out support for broader corporate and business line HR initiatives.
Preparing for and conducting reductions in force/terminations.
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration or related discipline and /or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum 5 years' of professional human resources and labor relations experience required.
Advanced problem solving, decision making, conflict resolution, facilitation and investigational skills.
Ability to build trusting, respectful and positive working relationships with site and corporate managers.
Experience managing day-to-day work and rolling out corporate HR initiatives and programs.
Proficient in MS office.
Outstanding communication, time-management and organization skills.
Able to travel to site, if and when required.
Experience with collective agreement interpretation and best practices.
SPHR or PHR preferred.
Demonstrated change leadership skills.
