AECOM Biologist I in Williamsport, Pennsylvania
AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Entry Level Environmental Scientist for employment in the Pittsburgh or Williamsport, PA offices with a background in environmental and regulatory compliance. The position will provide many challenges, an opportunity to work with multiple industrial clients, and an opportunity to gain experience in multiple environmental consulting disciplines.
This person will be responsible for executing project tasks for industrial and commercial clients under the direction and mentorship of senior technical staff. Projects may include wetland and stream identification, threatened and endangered species surveys, reporting, federal/state/local permitting, and additional field support activities.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Executing all work safely and in a professional manner;
Preparing calculations, reports, permit applications, compliance plans, and other technical
Supporting environmental investigation and remediation projects; and
Complying with the AECOM quality management system
Utilizes basic scientific principles, theories, practices and existing technologies to develop solutions for technical problems with limited scope.
Collects and enters data, and applies technical principles and theories.
Interprets and records data, conducts analyses, compares findings to relevant studies and local, state and federal regulations to ensure compliance.
Entry-level position; may not require previous experience.
BA/BS of Environmental Science, Biology, Ecology, or a similar field
Valid U.S. Driver's License
Due to the nature of the work, U.S. Citizenship is required
Willingness of overnight travel
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Employee may be asked to submit a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) at the time of hire, as this position could require operating a vehicle when visiting field/job sites.
Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.
Relocation is not available for this position.
